Why would so much media and political scrutiny be focused on a dark horse who hasn't even gotten out of the gates yet?GoldManhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02043482376424174413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15329279.post-82581488772158605342009-07-06T07:04:07.335-06:002009-07-06T07:04:07.335-06:00(By the way, I'm no fan of the Dixie Chicks, a...(By the way, I'm no fan of the Dixie Chicks, and we haven't been able to pick up Letterman on KELO's digital signal since May -- no great loss.)caheidelbergerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03261598066395322681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15329279.post-3148099748850796642009-07-06T07:02:56.370-06:002009-07-06T07:02:56.370-06:00So, Rod, if I understand you, you're not disag...So, Rod, if I understand you, you're not disagreeing with the specific criticism I've offered here (which focuses strictly on her own words and doesn't mention her family).

"What are Democrats worried about"? Oh, maybe bad government by an erratic character who makes choices for personal gain rather than the good of the state or country? Richard Nixon received uniquely harsh treatment because he was a uniquely bad and dangerous leader. It is possible that unusually harsh treatment of Palin is unfair... but it is also possible that unusually harsh treatment of Palin is justified by unusually strong flaws in her governing ability.caheidelbergerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03261598066395322681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15329279.post-73150671581996727062009-07-06T06:20:08.881-06:002009-07-06T06:20:08.881-06:00"she is an unusual character, who says and do..."she is an unusual character, who says and does unusual things."

Sort of reminds me of Democratic Leader, Nancy Pelosi, but I don't hear any Pelosi bashing from your blog, even though she is incoherent most of the time. She is an example of the Peter Principle, rising to her level of incompetence.

In all my years of watching political happenings, the attacks on Sarah Palin have been the most harsh. I'm not waving flags for Sarah Palin, and certainly don't support quitters, but the scrutiny of her family has been relentless. What are democrats worried about that they've unleashed such preemptive strikes to discredit her?

It is strange that when the Dixie Chicks lead singer lashed out at President George Bush, the group was banished, but when David Letterman attacks Governor Sarah Palin's 14-year old daughter with a horrible sex joke, not much happened. Hmmm...Some sort of double standard?GoldManhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09478566547133172418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15329279.post-34873154105977390182009-07-06T06:04:31.610-06:002009-07-06T06:04:31.610-06:00Stan, I was asking myself that very same question....Stan, I was asking myself that very same question. I do devote an unusual amount of attention to her. What's the big deal about her, anyhow? In my mind, she'd do quite well alongside Huckabee on the Fox "News" Channel, but that's about it.Stan Gibiliscohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15455094392489031332noreply@blogger.com
