Dakota Jam is officially back on. We missed out on the Sturgis synergy, but organizers have rescheduled for probably the next best date: September 29. Alas, we've also missed out on the full-blown fun of a seven-hour outdoor concert. Too Drunk to Fish is playing the tailgate party outdoors, but Poker Alice and Eclipse will play indoors after the football game at the downtown armory.
DSU may be able to take advantage of some good alumni numbers to swell the coffers (remember, Dakota Jam is a fundraiser for DSU women's basketball and volleyball). However, Dakota Jam will have some competition: that weekend is also an unusually early Hobo Days in Brookings. Any bets on whether live music can outdraw D-I football?
