Mitchell and Cole -- Miracle Twins

Mitchell and Cole -- twins! -- were born at 28 weeks in 1999 with twin-to-twin transfusion. That early birth and complications meant three months in the neonatal ICU for Mitchell and four months for Cole. Mom Tammy had been on bed rest for a couple weeks before the early delivery; now CMN stepped in to help. And another good thing about CMN is that a tired and worried mom doesn't have to seek out the help and fill out a bunch of papers; the CMN folks just come in and say, "Here's what we can do; what else do you need?" Thanks to CMN, Tammy was able to get down to be with the boys at least every other day. When Tammy got to take the boys home, they still needed apnea monitors and nebulizers to fully recover. CMN helped with that equipment as well, as they do now with braces that Cole wears for mild cerebral palsy.

Now Mitchell and Cole are healthy, hungry schoolboys (I just watched them put away a full DQ lunch and Blizzards). They're rambunctious and rarin' to enjoy the rest of their summer.
