Why Madison DQ Works

Longtime Madison residents (and regular bicyclists!) Jerry and Pat Heckenliable come in for afternoon Blizzards. Jerry fondly remembers DeLon's dad DeWayne's original little DQ shop on this same lot. Says Jerry, "DeWayne always had a rag to wipe tables in one hand and a coffeepot in the other." DeWayne's crew always hustled, not just on special promotion days, but every day. Jerry sees DeLon and his crew carrying on that tradition of great service, not just to customers but the whole community.

Where else do you find a staff with this sort of experience, Jerry asks, pointing to a poster showing DeLon's senior staff with 124 years of combined experience. "Morks make it work!" Jerry exclaims in all sincerity. His wife Pat backs him up 100%... although she's already digging in to her Blizzard, so she doesn't have as much to say!

  1. We wanted to write and tell you that we just shut down a church and took the staff blizzarding. Lo and behold we spotted the manager's mama and daughter out partaking of a cool treat. Family unity, all the more reason to be out on a hot summer day. At last count, the DQ on 26th and Marion had had $1000.00 in blizzard sales by 1 p.m. Teamwork and a little competition goes a long way for some wonderful causes....Way to go Madison
