Plagiarism pops to mind this morning not just because the latest Chamber newsletter came out in last night's MDL, but also because I find a good post on the subject on Wireless and Tireless, from DSU's very succinct and eloquent Dr. Casualene Meyer. She gives us one more reason that plagiarism matters:

ReplyDeleteSeriously, I think this melodramatic blog needs a little war against outrageous hyperbole.
In my opinion plagiarism seems to follow Dwaine Chapel very close as in "Hand in Hand". It may be a good deal if Chapel can produce his authored writings with some outside help. If this is what we recieve in exchange for an undisclosed salary; I dread what we would have to pay for "original" work pertaining to his publications. On the other hand... Are we getting the best bang for our buck? I sure hope that there isn't a "bonus" or "retention fee" that we are paying him in addition to the salary of the "Director"! Does anyone really know what direction he is heading? and do we want to follow the footstep of the lost?
