Ah, I see why the Zaniya Project Task Force final report was late: they had to get all the pictures just right. The 25 sleek pages treat us to the following graphics
- pie graph on South Dakota's uninsured (good)
- guy in bibbers heading for Klein's Hobbies and Crafts
- folks riding horse (courtesy of SD Tourism)
- eye chart and glasses (on a page with no mention of vision care)
- little girl and baby
- medicine bottle with pills and stacks of cashing spilling out (submit your own punch line)
- montage of medical items and keyboard
- blood pressure cuff
- guy walking alone in woods (symbolic of how you're on your own with health care in the US)
- stethoscope
- baby getting checkup with stethoscope
- American Indian dancer
- Dad holding child up in sunset at the beach (um, that looks like pretty big surf for Lake Oahe)
But maybe all those lovely pictures do help us understand the Zaniya Project better: projecting a nice image, not doing much.
