Pulizzi to Lead Fight Against Wasteful Government Spending...

...except for wasteful government spending that Pulizzi likes?

SD War College trumpets the naming of Mike Pulizzi as finance chairman of the South Dakota chapter of the Americans for Prosperity.

Hooray for prosperity! And hooray for folks like Pulizzi who are devoted to fighting against efforts to "waste scarce tax dollars on frivolous programs" [see AFP Mission Statement]. We can count on Pulizzi to keep government from wasting our money and intruding on our freedoms...

...unless, of course, that government waste and intrusion suits Pulizzi's fancy. Isn't this Pulizzi the same gentleman seen praying fervently in 2004 for the state legislature to pass an abortion ban that would have cost South Dakota millions of dollars in legal fees to fight legal challenges all the way to the Supreme Court? Didn't Pulizzi follow up that defeat by challenging Senator Kooistra for his seat and so he could get into government and vote for that wasteful spending himself (an effort that led to another defeat for Pulizzi, in the 2004 primary)? And doesn't Pulizzi Engineering, the only corporate sponsor of Pulizzi's anti-abortion counseling operation "Planning Life," make a lot of money on government defense contracts (not to mention deals with Lockheed Martin and NASA that likely involve more slurps at the government trough)?

Funny that even the paid crusaders against government spending still look to the government to solve their problems. We'll see which government spending Pulizzi and the corporate-sponsored SD-AFP tackle next... and which they let slide.
