A Jan 25-27 phone survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that 41% of Americans favor the anti-recession stimulus package agreed to by President Bush and the House. 26% are opposed, and 33% haven't read the Madville Times to learn which way to vote. ;-)
Interestingly, the stimulus package gets a thumbs up from 49% of Republicans, 41% of unaffiliated voters, and just 34% of Democrats.
In other words, more Republicans than Democrats favor increased deficit spending and government handouts. So who's the fiscal conservative around here?
