Another Pol Blogging! Forward the Revolution!

Hat tip to PP at SDWC!

Open government juxtaposition of the morning: While Governor Rounds vetoes HB 1233, a South Dakota version of the Coburn-Obama "Google for Government" act that would have created a searchable online database of state financial information, because it is "unworkable and too costly" (a complete red herring), Brookings Mayor Scott Munsterman jumps online to share his "Dakota Dreams" with us. Munsterman joins Brookings City Councilman Tim Reed in blogging -- cool! If this keeps up, Brookings's leaders might form a quorum online and start debating!

Who says making information available to the public is unworkable and costly? Reed and Munsterman can get in touch with their constituents for free.

Welcome to the conversation, Mayor Munsterman! We hope your constituents will log on and engage.
