Epp to Go East Coast -- Feld Misses Point

Reputedly disloyal Democrat Todd Epp of SD Watch is looking for his umpteenth blogging gig. He posts this job inquiry on arbiter of SD Dem-worthiness, Badlands Blue:

Sounds like I've been to Virginia as many times as you've been to South Dakota. I guess that makes me an expert on Virginia. Think the Virginia Democratic Party would pay me to blog on Virginia Democratic politics at my new blog, Tidewater Blue?

Just wondering.

[Todd Epp, "Tidewater Blue?" comment to Lowell Feld, "Tom Daschle on Meet the Press," 2008.03.09.]

Feld says he's been to South Dakota once, reporting McGovern Day festivities last summer. Epp thus has every reason to think he'd be just as effective a paid blogger about Virginia politics.

Feld also dodges the issue, saying lots of bloggers comment about issues in other states, so what's the beef?

For being such a great blogger, Feld consistently misses the point. The beef remains: if you're getting our money from our state party, you'd better not use it to brand your ground troops as disloyal.

In the meantime, for real South Dakota politics, keep turning to SD Watch, Dakota War College, and all the other great South Dakota blogs you find here in the feed and the blogroll.

Update 16:28 CDT: Todd wasn't kidding. Welcome to Tidewater Blue.
