Obama in South Dakota Friday!

First Hillary, then Bill... now Barack! KELO reports that Senator Barack Obama, whom George McGovern says may be "a second Lincoln," will be here in South Dakota in the flesh on Friday, May 16! I told you he should come for South Dakota's free state parks weekend! No word yet on whether Obama will stop at Lake Herman State Park for some walleye fishing, but we'll keep our fingers crossed and our spare waders ready.

Stay tuned to the Obama SD website for specifics on when and where South Dakotans will get their chance to shake hands with the man who will be the real first black President of the United States...

Update 20:35 CDT: KELO reports that Senator Obama's plane is scheduled to land at 5 p.m. Friday, and he'll be in the area for a few hours. Still no word on when or where the Senator will appear... but note that the Clinton campaign didn't have details of its visit down until 48 hours prior to the event.

So, anyone from Madison looking for a carpool?

  1. He, hopefully, will be the first President who is truly us. Both black and white, for he is as much a white man as he is a black man, but most importantly he is a patriotic citizen of the United States.
