As a blogger, I speak with immense authority on this single issue: don't trust everything you read on the Internet!
I thus offer this not as hard proof, but simply as something that brightens my day, like looking out the window over breakfast, seeing the sunshine over the lake, and thinking, "Gee, maybe today will be a great day!"
Yesterday I noted that John McCain was leading Barack Obama on a KJAM poll 2 to 1. This morning, Obama has surged to put the KJAM listening audience back in play:
The Madville Times can't claim credit (and no, I didn't sit on the KJAM website and click Obama all day), but I'd love to see KJAM's referring URL stats...
And did I say "in play"? Funny, so did Robbinsdale Radical, who cites Electoral-Vote.com, who cites a July 9 Rasmussen poll that found McCain leading Obama by a mere 4 percentage points.
But polls schmolls: I've heard a few people say that voting for Obama in South Dakota won't matter, since the GOP vote will swamp him anyway. Maybe. Maybe not. But we won't know until we play the game down to the final buzzer. Let's go! Let's vote!

The GOP is certainly not swamping Herseth-Sandlin or Johnson!

ReplyDeleteThe final buzzer is the ultimate arbiter of truth.
My fellow Republicans, please take note! We had better all vote.
Maybe you didn't sit and hit the button alot, but that is why I put no credence at all to KJAM's polls.
ReplyDeleteAnyone CAN sit and hit the button over and over.
Did you know Mankato, MN has a pyramid and underwater park? A teacher created a fun site way over the top to show you can't believe everything on the internet. Every year a few people come from around the country, sometimes in tears when they find out they were duped:http://descy.50megs.com/Emankato/mankato.html
ReplyDeleteI throw the B.S. Flag on that one John....I live near mankato....everyone we knows we have a pyramid and underwater park...it is just that when you look at them all you see is the Southern Hills Mall and a Walmart this is due to what Don Quitoe would call an enchanted spell.... that is all.
ReplyDeleteas of 7:35pm on saturday Obama and McCain are even at 50-50.
