Techno-entrepreneur Michael Vetter is one of a handful of South Dakota movers and shakers to make Prairie Business Magazine's list of 40 leaders under 40 on the Plains. Tied for youngest on Rick Killion's list at the heady age of 24, Vetter is a Madison native and Dakota State University graduate who started two computer businesses here, Vetter Solutions (sold in April 2008) and DataSync. He now lives in Sioux Falls, where he finds some time to blog about technology (thumbs up: he's an open-source guy!) and help out with Celebrate Community Church's Fuse group.
By the way, if I recall correctly, Mike Vetter was also a product of homeschooling. Hm. And some folks still tell me that homeschooled kids come out unprepared to succeed in real life.
Keep up the good work, Mike!

I am so proud of Mike Vetter, it is great to see a young person be so successful. I just wish he had the business to keep part of his operation in Madison.
ReplyDeleteAs for being home schooled. That is not totally true. Mike participated in a few computer courses at MHS. The part that was missing, is he started this business before he had finished college, and then went back.
