...there goes the neighborhood!
Oh, darn: and the kids with the tricorner hats were trying so hard to prove their little tea parties were not just a front for Republican anti-Obamaism. But now the Republican Governors' Association is proving what we knew all along. Go ahead, bring me the headliners from tonight's conference call, show me the Dems... or the real Libertarians.
I was actually rooting for my Libertarian friends to prove me wrong. Count on the GOP to come thundering in to wreck the marketing.
Why is Tzadik hiring this person?

I guess this is a good thing? But you have to wonder what kind of crap is
going on between City Hall and Tzadik?

I reckon the tea parties are a pretty good front for both the Republicans and the Libertarians. I also reckon that we ain't seen nothing yet.
ReplyDeleteI didn't attend the local tea party last month because I was too busy getting a message to Garcia rather than ranting (as I'm doing now). Also, I intend to give President Obama and his modus operandi a fair chance to work (or fail) before taking to the streets.
Gotta hand it to the Dems. They sure have nerve. If they can get this country on a better track, more gigajoules to 'em. I don't hope they will fail, any more than I want my kidneys to fail. However, I remain skeptical.
If everybody would deliver their message to Garcia, nobody would bother with tea parties.
ReplyDelete"And this incapacity for independent action, this moral stupidity, this infirmity of the will, this unwillingness to cheerfully catch hold and lift, are the things that put pure Socialism so far into the future. If men will not act for themselves, what will they do when the benefit of their effort is for all?" --Elbert Hubbard, 1899
ReplyDeleteCory, you nailed the key passage in that essay! The future belongs to the motivated, whatever social system evolves, yes?
ReplyDeleteThe future belongs to the motivated... fortune favors the bold!
ReplyDeleteSome people act almost entirely from self interest. Some not for themselves or anyone else. Thankfully most are a blend. The disappointing thing is cooperation works best but the first two mess it up.
