Blog Control Act: Prime Sponsor Doesn't Read Blogs

Quote of the day: Senator Nancy Turbak Berry (D-5/Watertown), today on SDPB's Dakota Midday, describing the discussion generated by HB 1277 and HB 1278, the Blog Control Acts of which she is a prime sponsor:

I'm told there's a tremendous amount [of discussion] going on on the blogs and the Internet.

She apparently hasn't read this discussion herself. She hasn't taken the time to investigate the easily accessible information that her bills would impact. She isn't seeking out pros or cons from the people most immediately affected by and knowledgeable about her proposed legislation.

I wonder what other "hearsay" Senator Turbak Berry has based her blog legislation on.
