Cleaver Shows Class, Protesters Show Futile Hatred

Admit it: the "Tea Party" is nothing more than cursing and spitting wrapped in a cute marketing slogan. They showed their true colors yesterday in D.C., literally spitting their futile invective at Congressmen while pretending to protest health insurance reform.

Also showing his true colors: Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, Democrat from Missouri. He caught some bodily fluid and a racial epithet from someone in the Tea Party crowd. His grace-under-pressure response, via spokesman:

This is not the first time the Congressman has been called the "n" word and certainly not the worst assault he has endured in his years fighting for equal rights for all Americans. That being said, he is disappointed that in the 21st century our national discourse has devolved to the point of name calling and spitting. He looks forward to taking a historic vote on health care reform legislation tomorrow, for the residents of the Fifth District of Missouri and for all Americans. He believes deeply that tomorrow's vote is, in fact, a vote for equality and to secure health care as a right for all. Our nation has a history of struggling each time we expand rights. Today's protests are no different, but the Congressman believes this is worth fighting for [spokesman for Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, quoted by Patrick O'Connor and James Hohmann, "Dems Say Protesters Used N-Word," Politico, 2010.03.20].

Dems, passing health insurance reform will do a lot of good for a lot of Americans. That's all the reason you need to vote for this bill. But if it helps, remember that passing health insurance reform will also crush this so-called Tea Party and remind the cussers and spitters that America belongs to all of us.

  1. If these reports of spitting and racial epithets are true of the few who are alleged to have done so out of the thousands of Tea Partiers who stood against this unconstitutional government health care bill yesterday, then they were wrong. In fact, some of the reports I read indicated that the Tea Partiers around these alleged incidents immediately condemned them.

But if you think that if this abomination of a bill passes today, that it will "crush" the Tea Party movement...you are sorely, badly, incredibly mistaken.

The American revolution was not crushed at Lexington or anywhere, and that same spirit of freedom remains in most of the American people. You and your pathetic ilk are like the boot-licking Tories of that day, and you will lose your effort to keep Americans under the heel of oppressive government just as they did.

    Let freedom ring!

  2. Yes, "if." So far, I have not seen any audio or video that proves this. And frankly, none of the people pushing these allegations has any credibility.

The Left has done nothing but lie about what is in this abomination of a bill. Further, they are deliberately ignoring the United States Constitution in pushing this garbage on the American people; anyone who would so egregiously disregard the highest law of our nation has no credibility.

Still more, these socialists have broken their oath--the oath they swore when they took office--to support and defend the U.S Constitution. Rather than support and defend our constitution, they have done nothing but spit on it and show it contempt.

For all we know, if such incidents really did occur, for all we know they may be Leftist LaRouchers. The Tea Party is made up of good people of all skin colors, including Native Americans, Hispanic Americans and black Americans; that is why you see people like Ira Taken Alive who spoke last year at Rapid City's Tax Day Tea Party, and Lloyd Marcus who sings and travels with the Tea Party Express, and Alonzo Rachel who speaks at Tea Party rallies. If racists are among the Tea Party movement, they are like RINOs--they're in the wrong place.

Without documentary evidence, I'm not inclined to believe oath-breaking, constitutionally-contemptuous, lawbreaking tyrants.

  3. No. No if. Not unless you're prepared to declare every Congressman and journalist who was actually there and who disagrees with you as lacking in credibility.

Of course, you thought the fake pimp had credible evidence against ACORN. Pfft.
