Democrat Angst III: I'm Not the Only One.

NPR discusses a poll from Stan Greenberg and Glenn Bolger showing Democrat incumbents facing an uphill battle in November. Republicans are fired up, Democrats aren't. What might change that?

What would fire up Democrats?

Frank Damico Jr., a lawyer from Louisiana, says he wishes the health care bill had been stronger. He wants to see his party fight harder against special interests and against Republicans.

"The Democrats have been afraid, and I wish they would realize who put them in office," Damico said. "I think they are more concerned with placating the right when I don't think they are going to get the right supporting them no matter what they do" [Mara Liasson, "NPR Poll Shows Tough Road Ahead for Democrats," NPR.org, 2010.06.15].

Exactly what I was thinking. Show some spine, Dems!

    Great writing, Cory.

Larry, if the Democrats are for safe water, why is Obama allowing the oil to enter the Gulf?

  4. "He wants to see his party fight harder against special interests and against Republicans."

The Democrats also support special interests, such as wind energy, GE, Goldman Sachs and the owners of the Federal Reserve.

Both parties are the problem. Both parties want bigger government and smaller citizens.

  5. Larry and east of egan,

While you might judge people on their stated goals, I judge them on results of their actions.

Democrats hate poor people and take satisfaction in the destruction of their human dignity and love people who like to talk about caring about poor people.

When you think about the havoc Obama's policies are having on the ability of the lower rung of the ladder to ever be anything more serfs of the government, it is impossible to reach any other conclusion.

    Democrats hate poor people.

  7. Have you seen this video?: http://www.itsasickness.com/lounge/adam-mordecai-obsessed-democrats-spine. Democrats lost their chance. They didn't push tough enough legislation and didn't have the spines to stand up as a unified party against the obstructionist Republicans. There's going to be a serious turnover in November.

Have you seen this video?: http://www.itsasickness.com/lounge/adam-mordecai-obsessed-democrats-spine. The Democrats had their chance and they blew it. They didn't push strong enough legislation after an overwhelming outpouring of support from voters and now they're going to pay the price. When are they going to figure out how to work together to actually get significant laws passed??

  12. You mean the Decorum Forum, Sibby? It's still there. I just stopped being one of the "hosts."

    Bill,

Yes, I noticed that, that is why I asked, what happened?

  14. I lost my enthusiasm for the project and withdrew, Sibby. Mike and Bob are still at it, and I comment there from time to time, but personally, I guess I like commenting on other blogs better than hosting or co-hosting my own.

Maybe I'll try it again someday. The HillsThrills folks have graciously invited me to do a culture thing there, but I haven't jumped in yet. If I do start hosting again, that's probably where it will be.
