Ah, who needs a silly old debate contest? Madison's landed a square dance festival!
MDL reports the South Dakota Square Folk and Round Dance Association will hold its Winter Square Dance Festival right here in Madison at the City Armory Saturday, February 20, from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. The dancers have association meetings, then hold an evening dance session starting at 7:30 p.m., featuring Madison's own Don Nugent as caller.
I'll miss the fun, since I will be judging debate in Sioux Falls. But expect big checked-shirted and frilly-skirt crowds at the Dairy Queen and Skippers Saturday!
I'd provide more links... but is anyone surprised that the square dance association does not appear to have a website?
