Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.Remember how we went after Iraq because Saddam wouldn't follow UN resolutions? Let's keep Bush from invading South Dakota and deposing Smiley Mike: Zaniya Project, quick! recognize UDHR Article 25.1, recommend a statewide single-payer health plan (like the proposed California Universal Healthcare Act, Senate Bill 840), and get it on the legislature's desk right away!

So a friend of mine made this rap a few years back, and I have to tell you
I have friends over the years who went there and tell the same boring
stories, LOL.

The parallels between SD and Iraq are even more stark than your astute analysis portrays.
ReplyDeleteSD was home to many WMDs that Bush won't be able to find. We have ethnic conclaves. Who knows what battle plans those Czechs in Tabor and the Germans at Freeman can cook up? Heck, the Native Americans or the Hudderites can be SD's version of the Kurds.
Bush can even declare all of the farmers who have pesticides and anhydrous ammonia on the farmstead as enemy combatants and send them to Ellsworth.
If we get invaded, I'm blaming you for giving Bush the idea.
To make the comparison complete you have to consider how North Dakota sent its special farmer forces south to train Germans and give them high explosives so they can murder FFA kids standing in line at the state fair.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't help when Iowa allowed flocks of Amish to invade, ending up in the Corn Palace being burned down.
Thank the Almighty that the UN blue helmets are on the way. They will undoubtedly save the day by gathering for Crazy Daze to make everyone involved talk it out. Maybe they'll bring blankets!
