Beautiful: Barack in Mitchell... and in Charge

Photo of the Week -- Expect this shot on the Obama-South Dakota campaign posters this fall:
Senator Barack Obama takes the stage at a campaign rally

Mitchell, SD, Sunday, June 1, 2008.

Gorgeous -- both the Palace and the future President. Blue sky, great perspective... give that photographer a Pulitzer!

Headline of the Week: "Barack in Charge." Craig Crawford writes that the DNC's decision to give Florida and Michigan half-seats at the convention clearly replaced the Clintons with Obama in the driver's seat of the Democratic party:

No decision would have best served Clinton today. Her nomination hopes are dependent on a chaos theory, which would have been best supported by keeping the status of Florida and Michigan in limbo.

Losing what they needed today proves that for the first time in 16 years the Clintons are no longer in charge of the Democratic Party. There is a new boss in town [Craig Crawford, "Barack in Charge," CQ Politics: Trail Mix, 2008.05.31].
