Journalism That Matters -- Listen to Me... Really!

More cool stuff from the Journalism That Matters conference I attended last week in Minneapolis: Conference organizer Bill Densmore (director of the Media Giraffe Project at the University of Massachusetts Amherst) just posted the audio of a conversation twelve of us recorded Friday at Minnesota Public Radio. It's all about the motivations, joys, and challenges of launching an online news community. It's a good program, with different perspectives from "citizen journalists" from all over the country -- Daytona Beach, West Seattle, Martha's Vineyard, Lake Herman, and more!

  1. I get more news, opinion, and insight from this blog (and comments) than I do from our local paper (Madison Daily Leader). If Cory can do this without a big budget, why can't CNN and the rest give us real news without constant commercials since we are already paying cable fees?
