National Press Notes Sagging Noem Campaign

It takes those out-of-staters a while to figure out what's really happening in South Dakota. Good thing you all have the South Dakota Blogosphere to keep you up to date!

Here's what a couple of observers from elsewhere are saying about Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth Sandlin's surge and GOP challenger Kristi Noem's failing campaign:
  • Maggie Gallagher, NRO: "Warning, Warning, Warning. ...Why? Maybe because she is pushing Noem on her past comments about wanting to 'privatize' Medicare...." Oh yeah, policy matters, doesn't it?
  • Sean Trende, RCP: "Signs of a Democratic Rebound? ...There is a special importance [in the Noem drop], because this has been a major Democratic talking point: that once Republicans' records come under scrutiny, Democrats will rebound."
