It's coming up on 8 p.m., and there isn't an empty table in the house! Manager Lana Zillgitt just took a moment to check in here at Blog Central. "I just hope we have enough candies!" she says. The stock from this weeks two truckloadslooks good for the remainder of today's sales, but she had to call her supplier at five 'til five this afternoon and order another truckload to get DQ through tomorrow and the rest of the week.
Lana has been working hard all day. When she gets a minute away from the counter, she scoots out to the parking lot to thank the folks lined up in the drive-through for coming and for being patient (though again, the line hasn't been all too slow for a crazy day like this). Her daughter Amber, who is also a night manager, jumped in today to help out with deliveries. Last year DeLon was out of the store all day deliverin Blizzards; this year, thanks delivery helpers Sascha and Amber, DeLon has gotten to see the in-store rush, and he is amazed and, as stated previously, genuinely humbled and grateful.
Three hours to go, and there are still Blizzards to go around!
