That's what the Madville Times gets for shooting spitballs at Bob Ellis -- hail! The last day of September brought the Lake Herman Meteorological Station 3.05 inches of precip, including a two-minute round of pea-sized hail. No significant damage, and Madville Times Jr. slept right through it. That brings our September total to 3.66 inches (93.0 millimeters for our friends in Canada -- 93.5 in Newfoundland).
Stay tuned for October precip data in the sidebar -- and quick! someone send me instructions for a good snow gauge! Now that Arctic Cat is leaving town, a blizzard a week from Veterans Day to Easter is a sure bet!
