The Zaniya Project has posted its final report, along with commentary. As reported here yesterday, the project was a day behind its delivery date mandated by the state legislature. Not only was their homework late, but it's incomplete: the task force failed to fulfill its mandate to study costs for its recommendations. "As the process unfolded, it became clear that a comprehensive approach ... would be most appropriate given the short time frame," the report said. Gee, wish my profs would let me by with that excuse on my homework.
Even with late and incomplete homework, GOP State Senator and task force member Tom Dempster tells that Sioux Falls paper that the task force accomplished its mission. ("Mission accomplished" -- what is it about Republicans and that phrase?)
