Pipeline Responsibility Bill Back! Call Now!

Senator Kloucek's SB 138 just got smoked out! The Big Oil Republicans killed it in committee, but as we've seen before, dead in Pierre only means mostly dead. The resurrected pipeline bonding bill goes the Senate floor this afternoon. Says Senator Kloucek:

It just came out of ag committee on smokeout with no reccomendation. Thanks for all your hard work. CAll 773-3821 between now and 2pm leave message for up to three senators at a time. Please support SB138 in its current form We need bonding of crude oil pipelines! name and town. Direct calls to Garnos Napoli Hunhoff Olson Abdallah Dempster Greenfield Tom Hansen and Albers. [personal e-mail, 2008.02.07]

You heard the man: call your senators, remind them who comes first (that would be South Dakotans who vote, not foreign oil companies).
