Insanity? The GOP Would Know...

Cheap shot of the morning:

Perusing Dakota War College, I notice the Chris Lien campaign peeping from PP's SD blog feed: "Independence Day Insanity." What, an acknowledgment that the GOP doesn't stand a chance in November?

No, no—just 4th of July parade video. But seeing "Insanity" in a Republican blog title seemed too fitting to pass up.

Speaking of insanity, I'm finding some links to Dakota Voice included in the Lien campaign "News" webpage (see here, here, here), but no War College? Hmm... another candidate from the Ellis-Sibby wing of the party? My uncle Terry keeps reminding me that independent (read non-radical partisan theocrat) voters are key; the GOP doesn't seem to have gotten that memo.

  1. Didn't Lien recently pull his ad over there, and PP gave him some sappy adieu. Then a few days later he's back on there with an ad. Strange.

  2. You're just jealous.

And "Independent" voters don't form the Republican base; Republicans do that.

  3. I bet if PP did a feature on Lien, the Lien campaign site would link to it, but Pat has been into much more gossip than news lately. Hence, no links from a serious campaigner.

  6. Perhaps I should have repeated the nons: "non-radical, non-partisan, non-theocrat."

  7. Mahalo! Now I get it. Well, methinks, even if my beloved GOP has gotten the memo, it isn't going to do us any good in November unless every last one of us goes to the polls in November and votes for McCain.

  8. In November. In November. In November. It's too easy to hit that doggone orange button.

  9. I agree, Stan: McCain needs everybody on deck. And if Republicans like Ellis (and Lien?) think about no one but the base while Obama throws open the convention to public input and attendance at his acceptance speech at Mile High Stadium, well, the GOP can count on more Herseth-Whalen margins of defeat.

  10. Dennis Miller for McCain's running mate! Yes!
