Correction! Palin Simply Welcomes Alaska Secessionists, Never Joined

Correction! Alaskan Independence Party chairwoman Lynette Clark tells the New York Times someone was feeding her "erroneous information" when he/she told her Sarah Palin had been a member of the AIP from 1994 to 1996.

So Governor Palin isn't a secessionist; she just likes having them around town.

  1. Caution: we are entering the world of altered reality. Since this past weekend it will be very challenging to discern truth. Truth squads are hyperactive to promote anything but the truth. Let's not overstep this "correction".

Palin attended the AIP conventions in 1994 and 2000. Credible sources remain who claim she attended the 1994 AIP convention. http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/09/another-aip-off.html The first dude was a member for a decade. Palin gave the 2008 AIP convention attendees a video welcome. http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/09/sarah_palin_and_the_alaska_ind.php

The video of her addressing AIP in 2008 was pulled off of You Tube under an alleged "claim of copyright".

Palin's church also took down numerous links; from Palin's speech to her congregation where she linked the Iraq episode to a holy war, and her pastor's offensive spiels.

One may be able to re-discover missing internet copy at: http://www.archive.org/web/web.php . Sometimes other sites copy and post the now-missing information and post it on their sites.

Welcome to cyberwar. It's time to update the nineteen principles of propaganda.

  2. Another source claiming Palin was a member of AIP, attended conventions, and her video welcome to the 2008 AIP convention.

  5. This Palin hysteria is starting to look weird and insane to me.

  6. O.K., Anon 1:29, that takes care of one website. How about the million other sites out there that back this story... and the words of Sarah Palin herself?

  7. Stan, I agree: the GOP's hysterical embrace of an untried governor as possible President looks weird to me too. ;-)

  8. Maybe easing off on "reporting facts" and doing a little more research, would benefit your credibility.
