GOP to Fight Health Care Reform by Deeming Doctor-Patient Relationship "Sacred"

Do you guys really want to go there?

Lois Uttley notes that GOP strategist Frank Luntz is formulating the Republicans' scare tactics to stave off health reform. Among the word games, Luntz urges Republicans to speak out against "interference from insurance companies and Washington politicians and special interests" in health care. He says Republicans need to portray themselves as defenders of the "sacred doctor–patient relationship." (Read Luntz's full memo at Politico.com.)

Interference from insurance companies: is that like when they tell us which doctors we can and can't see? And about that sacred doctor–patient relationship: will the South Dakota GOP keep that talking point around for Leslee Unruh's next big abortion ban?
