The rankest hypocrisy from yesterday's DakotaFest debate: in response to Stephanie Herseth Sandlin's statement that Kristi Noem has supported privatization of Social Security and Medicare, Noem cries, "Stephanie, stop scaring seniors!"
That's funny: I don't recall Noem telling Sarah Palin or local Republicans to stop scaring seniors with Palin's outrageous lies about death panels during the health insurance reform debate. I don't recall Noem criticizing Senator Chuck Grassley for saying health insurance reform would "pull the plug on grandma." I don't recall Noem calling her fearless leader John Boehner to task for his hyperbolic scare tactics that health insurance reform would ration care and weaken Medicare.
I guess in Noem's world, it's o.k. to scare seniors, but only if you're a Republican.
